The Freak X carries the defining idea of the original Freak — the movement itself tells the time. There is no dial and no hands in the traditional sense: the central bridge sweeps as the minute hand while a rotating wheel indicates the hours, all turning openly across a matte black baseplate. The result is a display that reads clearly at a glance yet rewards close inspection like few watches at any price point.

The 43mm case is titanium with a black PVD finish, keeping the watch remarkably light on the wrist despite its presence. Unlike the original Freak, the X adds a conventional crown for winding and setting, making it a genuinely practical daily wearer. Water resistance is 50 meters, and the sapphire caseback opens up a full view of the automatic winding system. The black strap with titanium/DLC folding buckle keeps the monochrome theme intact.

Inside is the in-house Caliber UN-230, a self-winding movement with a 72-hour power reserve built around Ulysse Nardin's flying carrousel architecture. The silicon technology here is the real story — an extra-wide silicon balance wheel with nickel flyweights and stabilizing micro-blades, a direct descendant of the Freak Vision's innovations. This 2020 example is in excellent preowned condition; light handling marks may occur during display or handling, and all photos show the actual watch.
