The RM 029 takes Richard Mille's Formula 1-inspired engineering approach and applies it to something genuinely wearable day to day — the oversize date, borrowed conceptually from the RM 011, sits legibly at 12 while the rest of the dial gives an unobstructed view straight through the movement. The skeletonized titanium baseplate went through numerous cutaway iterations before the final pattern was chosen, a level of refinement that shows in how little structural bulk remains without sacrificing rigidity.

The tonneau-shaped grade 5 titanium case foregoes a traditional casing ring entirely — the movement mounts directly on chassis rubbers (ISO SW) fixed by four titanium screws, an approach lifted straight from motorsport chassis design. Titanium keeps the piece exceptionally light on the wrist for its size, and the tripartite construction is assembled with 12 grade 5 titanium spline screws, sealed to 50m with three Nitril O-rings. This example currently wears a vibrant aftermarket Miami blue rubber strap that plays well against the exposed titanium and steel finishing, with the original OEM black rubber strap and deployant clasp included to swap back at any time.

The calibre RMAS7's standout feature is its variable-geometry rotor: titanium arms with adjustable 18k white gold ribs let the winding efficiency be tuned to the wearer's activity level, running on ceramic ball bearings for durability, with 32 jewels at 4Hz delivering a 55-hour power reserve. The oversize date bridge is finished in black PVD against the titanium baseplate. Preowned, mint condition, 2018, full set, available now.
