The Reverso Tribute Duoface Small Seconds draws on the Art Deco look of the first 1931 models. The front dial is sunray-lacquered blue with a railroad minute track and trapezoidal applied indexes. Small seconds sit at 6 o’clock. Flip the case and the reverse shows a sunrayed silver-grey dial with a second time zone and a Night & Day indicator, so local and home time live on one watch. The second zone is set with a small trigger on the case side, which keeps the case clean.
At 47 x 28.3mm and 10.34mm thick, the stainless steel case wears long and slim, like the originals. The blue calfskin strap is quick-release for easy swaps and closes on a steel double folding buckle.
The Duoface works because one movement drives both dials, with the two sets of hands turning in opposite directions. That movement is the manually wound calibre 854, designed and built in-house by Jaeger-LeCoultre. It is shaped as a rectangle to fit the case and holds 42 hours of power reserve.
