The PanoMaticLunar is one of the most architecturally distinctive watches in the German fine watchmaking tradition — and in red gold, it is the definitive expression of the reference. The asymmetric Pano dial layout, governed by the proportions of the Golden Ratio, divides the face into two distinct hemispheres: hours, minutes, and small seconds on the left; the elaborately crafted moon phase and Glashütte Original's signature oversized Panorama Date on the right. The result is a dial that reads unlike anything from Geneva or the Vallée de Joux.

The galvanic silver dial carries applied golden indices and hands, with the auxiliary subdials finished in a fine vinyl-type opaline that shifts its reflection depending on the light. The moon phase runs against a galvanic blue starry sky with a gold moon — a small detail executed with disproportionate care. The Panorama Date displays in black numerals on an ivory ground, large and instantly legible. The 40mm red gold case wears with the kind of quiet presence that only this metal delivers — polished and satin-brushed surfaces in balance, complemented by a brown Louisiana alligator nubuck leather strap.

Through the sapphire caseback, the manufactory calibre 90-02 is fully visible. The Glashütte three-quarter plate with stripe finish, duplex swan-neck fine adjustment, hand-engraved balance bridge, blued screws, bevelled and polished steel parts, and the skeletonized off-centre rotor with 21-carat gold oscillation weight and double-G symbol — every traditional element of Saxon watchmaking present and accounted for.
