The Royal Oak Openworked ref. 15305ST occupies a specific and irreplaceable position in the AP canon — the first serially produced Royal Oak to feature a fully skeletonized dial, and for many collectors, still the purest expression of the concept. Where later openworked references moved toward more ornate execution, the 15305ST is governed by restraint: geometric bridgework in ruthenium-plated dark grey, diamond-cut bevels with polished countersinks, and applied white gold Royal Oak indices and hands that preserve legibility against the mechanical landscape beneath them. The result reads as a sports watch first and a showcase of movement architecture second — which is exactly the balance that has made this reference sought after across every production year.

The 39mm stainless steel case in fresh AP refinish wears with the clean lines and surface integrity of a new example. Genta's octagonal architecture — brushed flanks, polished bevels, integrated bracelet — is fully restored, and the caseback sapphire offers an unobstructed view of the calibre 3129 in motion. The bracelet is accompanied by two additional links beyond the standard complement, a meaningful inclusion for collectors with larger wrists who typically have to source links separately. The documentation package on this example is exceptionally complete: original box, original signed AP archive paperwork, service receipt, and refinish receipt, all from Audemars Piguet directly in June 2026.

The calibre 3129 — derived from AP's foundational in-house 3120 — runs at 21,600 vph with a 60-hour power reserve and is supported by ceramic ball bearings beneath its 22-carat gold full-rotor. Every bridge edge is finished by hand: beveled, polished, and set against the ruthenium ground to create maximum contrast in the movement landscape. A factory-fresh service means this watch is running to specification with a full mechanical baseline reset — for the buyer who wants a 15305ST ready to wear and wear hard, this is the cleanest possible starting point.
