This is the original-generation Lange 1, the design that defined the modern A. Lange & Söhne after its relaunch. The hour and minute circle sits off-center, with the outsize date and power-reserve indicator arranged around it. The solid silver argenté dial has a softness that plated or lacquered dials can’t match, and the luminous hands and markers keep it practical for daily wear.
At 38.5mm and 10mm tall, the 18-carat white gold case is balanced and easy on the wrist. The sapphire caseback shows the movement. The black alligator strap closes on a matching white gold prong buckle, so the piece stays understated and formal.
